Dedicated Data Hall Cable Containment

Dedicated data hall cable containment systems manufactured to guidelines recommended by the European Standards (EN50174/1 & 2) to provide a trouble free cable installation.

The objective is to provide a solution which is fit for purpose. So often, by default, cable baskets, designed for electrical cables, are used. Typically finished with Electrozinc plate, which can lead to the occurrence of zinc ‘spurs’, especially when forming bends/tees on site, thus causing the surface coating to flake and peel. This is overcome by supplying factory made fittings, required by the standards, having the required cable bending radii, and manufactured from pre-galvanised steel.

Datatray Basket Standards also require that ‘no forces shall be allowed that could cause pressure marks to occur on the cable sheath or the cable elements’. Standard Datatray basket provides a solution by incorporating a 50mm grid & 5mm wire throughout (typically electrical basket is 100mm x 50mm grid & 3mm wire). We eliminate this problem with our anti-static, fire rated, lined basket system Datadeck/Dataduct. The smooth base absorbs pressure points caused, over time, by loading, and avoids attenuation loss caused by the ripple effect of the cable running over the ribs of the basket.

Flexibility in our production process allows custom made sizes, up to 900mm width, & 500mm wall height, for larger capacity.
